Personal statement and CV submission
If required, straight after you complete your online UAC application you should prepare and submit your personal statement and CV. Personal statement and CV received by UTS more than one week after the submission your UAC application may not been considered.
Not all courses require a personal statement and/or CV. It is important that you check the additional application requirements for the course(s) that you are applying to.
Any documents received that fall outside of the course requirements will not be considered.
Personal statement
A personal statement is a free-text written composition which presents a reasoned case supporting your application to a particular course.
It should demonstrate your capacity and motivation for study in the field that you have chosen.
In most cases your personal statement will be submitted along with your current CV.
Submission format
Your personal statement and/or CV must be:
- submitted online,
- no more than 3500 words,
- submitted for each of your preferences that list them as a requirement - if the requirements are the same for two or more of your preferences in the same faculty then you may list them on the one submission.
It is recommended that you:
- prepare your personal statement and/or CV as a document on your computer before copying the text into the online submission form,
- keep a copy of your submission for your own records,
- print and keep the receipt of your submission.
Checklist
Before clicking the submit button below please make sure that you have:
- lodged a UAC application and have your UAC application number with you,
- the UAC course codes for the preferences on your application,
- prepared a personal statement and/or CV document for each of your preferences that list them as a requirement (see Submission format above).

Follow the instructions on additional supporting documents submission to submit any supporting documents that make up part of your personal statement and CV that can't be lodged online.
